The HI Road

Will You Take the HI Road? source

Travel the HI Road to Greater Fitness & Lasting Health if:

  • You are prepared and committed to stay true to your course, uninterested in “shortcuts” that only lead to dead-ends.
  • You are a seeker of truth.  Make believe bores you, you are only interested in what actually works and what is sustainable.
  • You are ready to work, you’re not tempted by magic pills or gimmicks that only empty your wallet and waste your time.
  • You recognize it’s an effort, investment and lifestyle, that it doesn’t happen over night, but is a success in progress.
  • You are a critical thinker.  You’re not persuaded by the next fitness fad or convinced by sensationalism, you see through the facade.
  • You value education over dictation.  You’d rather learn how to fish than have someone buy you sushi.
  • You are a doer, a perseverer, a fall downer and get back upper.
  • You ask questions and look before you leap (lunge, squat, Burpee…).
  • You know there’s no such thing a free lunch, but a healthy lunch whets your appetite.
  • You love food for its nourishment, its textures, flavours and aromas, plus social and cultural aspects.  You don’t care for food becoming a prescription or numbers game that constantly nags at the back of your mind.
  • You separate your fitness & health from vacuuming and cleaning the bathroom.  You’d rather it be something you enjoy and look forward to than another chore to cross off your list.
  • You evaluate fitness & health by how you feel and function, not by weight, self-comparisons to airbrushed images, or consumer idealism.
  • You feel that to know your own body and how to care for it is your right and important.  It’s yours and the only one you get.
  • You want to know what’s realistic, what’s practical, and what’s nonsensical.
  • You care about the health of those around you, and happy to lead by example.
  • You need something worthwhile to read at your desk when you should be working.

Safe Journey.

Just sayin’. jared
